‘I choose to keep moving forward’: Sanju Samson reacts on missing out on India’s squad for the Australia ODIs

Sanju Samson has reacted after he was given cold shoulder from the selectors for the three-match ODI series against Australia. India will play three ODIs against Australia, starting from September 22 in Mohali.

28-year-old Sanju has shown his disappointed as the Kerala batter posted a photo on Instagram. He wrote, “It is what it is !! I choose to keep moving forward.”

Sanju Samson was picked for the Asia Cup as a cover for KL Rahul. He was later released once Rahul regained his full fitness.

Former cricketers Irfan Pathan and Robin Uthappa has shared their disappointments over Sanju’s exclusion from India squad.

“No one would wanna be in Sanju’s shoes right now!!,” Uthappa wrote in X.

“The justification could be that even if he was in the squad he wouldn’t get a game. But not even being in the squad would be quite disheartening,” he added.

Former India seamer Irfan Pathan said: If I’m in place of @IamSanjuSamson right now I will be very disappointed…”

Sanju Samson has played 13 ODIs, scoring 390 runs at an impressive average of 55.71 and a strike rate of 104.00. His best 86 not out came against South Africa in Lucknow in 2022.
